A custom live edge Black Walnut barn door, commissioned as a sliding interior door for a residence. The slab preserves the natural live edge along one side, leaving the tree's original shape visible in the finished door.

Mounted on stainless steel barn door hardware, the piece slides cleanly along a polished steel track. The dark heartwood and golden sapwood run continuously across the full face of the slab.

Black Walnut: a domestic hardwood prized for its rich chocolate color and the natural gradient where heartwood meets the lighter sapwood at the edge. Dense, hard-wearing, and unmistakable.
