Sourced from Costa Rica, this one-of-a-kind parota slab is cut in a dramatic “drip” style, where the slab transitions from a flat usable surface into a flowing, sculptural drop that reveals the tree’s end grain. The top surface showcases warm, linear grain with subtle spalting, while the curved drip portion exposes tight growth rings—creating a striking contrast between long-grain and end-grain figure. Natural voids and checking have been pre-filled with epoxy, enhancing both stability and visual definition throughout the piece.

The sculptural form gives this slab a functional footprint with strong design presence—ideal as a statement bench, console, or artistic installation. The widened drip end (up to 21”) anchors the piece visually, while the elevated profile (19” height) highlights the unique cut and natural movement of the wood.
